Dr. Patricia Schafer Honored

After 49 years of service to Oakland City University, Dr. Patricia Schafer is retiring due to health issues. The Board of Trustees in session on Friday, May 4th, voted to present Dr. Schafer with the title of Professor Emerita of Health and Physical Education.

Dr. Schafer (a Native American) recently had an article published with Dr. John Hornbrook in the Spring issue of the Indiana Ahperd Journal entitled “Choctaw and Cherokee Heritage and Games.” Dr. Schafer will be missed.
