Other Admission Pathways

What if I'm not seeking traditional admission?

Oakland City University offers other types of admission for students that are not seeking a degree.  If you intend to apply to OCU with the intent to transfer course credits to a parent institution or for personal/professional development purposes only, we have you covered!

Non-Degree Seeking Students

Non-degree seeking students are applying to Oakland City University with the intent to transfer course credits to a parent institution or for personal/professional development purposes only.  Such students do not intend to pursue a degree at OCU.

Non-degree students desiring to transfer credit to a parent institution should consult with that institution before enrolling at OCU, to make sure courses taken at the university will transfer appropriately to another institution.

The following guidelines apply to the admissions process for non-degree students.

  1. Students are required to submit a non-degree seeking application.
  2. Academic Advisors are not assigned to non-degree seeking students.
