Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) / Section 504 Accommodations

Oakland City University actively supports the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) which protects qualified individuals with disabilities from discrimination in the participation of the university’s programs, activities and services (including extracurricular activities).

Oakland City University will work with students and other associates to provide reasonable accommodations as provided in ADA. ADA compliance as it relates to students is to be coordinated through the Disabilities Coordinator.

All faculty and staff inquiries can be directed to the Office of Human Resources. All other inquiries should be directed to the Office for Student Life.

Student Academic Support Services

Tutoring is available to all OCU students through the Center for Career & Calling in the Student Life Center.

Tutoring can be done one-on-one or in a group setting depending on the request of the student. These tutoring sessions are created with the student in mind so that each session is targeted to his/her particular needs. Students can utilize the services of the Peer Mentors to his/her chosen extent as well. Students have the option of choosing a larger extent like one hour sessions three times a week or a smaller extent like dropping off a paper to be proofread a couple of times a semester.

If you have any questions about Tutoring or other Student Academic Support Services, please email sass@oak.edu.
