The Great Commission

Mark 16:15-16, 20

For the past 33 years at OCU, Spring is the time we kick off our annual OAK-A-THON. However, like so many things in the past year, this even has changed. Due to COVID-19, we will no longer organize student and staff volunteers into a confined phone room for safety and security reasons. By making this change we protect our volunteers, but the need for sharing their stories is no less greater. In fact, because of this situation, your support comes at a critical moment in time for many of our students and learning community.

“He said to them ‘go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.’ The disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.” Mark 16: 15-16, 20

As the Holiest of day for the believe in Christ, Easter brings our thought to Jesus’ mission on earth. He came to carry out God’s will, and at his ascension, he gave The Great Commission, that we might continue making disciples.

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15.
