Graduation Honors
Undergraduate students who maintain outstanding academic achievement are recognized at commencement by wearing a gold honor cord. Honors at graduation are awarded to students who have established academic residency at OCU and meet the required Grade Point Average (GPA).
- Cum Laude (GPA 3.50 – 3.69)
- Magna Cum Laude (GPA 3.70 – 3.89)
- Summa Cum Laude (GPA 3.90 and above)
President’s Award:
The President’s Award is presented to one graduating baccalaureate degree senior who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and outstanding university engagement.

All students who participate in the commencement ceremony are required to wear an academic cap, gown, and tassel.

Diplomas
A diploma will be mailed to you at the address that you provided on your Graduation Application. If your address has changed since completing the application, you can send an email to [email protected] with the new address.
Diplomas for graduates will be mailed approximately 6-8 week following commencement.
Please make certain that all obligations to the university have been fulfilled prior to leaving campus.
Direct Loan Exit Counseling is required for all students who have borrowed Federal Direct Loans. The Exit Counseling session can be accessed using the following steps:
- Visit studentaid.gov
- Click on Loan Exit Counseling under the Loan Repayment tab
- Log in using your FSA ID
Graduation Photography
We’re excited to announce that Madison Toopes, our university photographer, will be the official photographer for this year’s graduation. She’ll be capturing professional headshots of each graduate during the commencement ceremony.
All graduates will have access to their individual portraits via a Google Drive folder. Simply use the link below view and download your high-quality portrait. For the best image quality, please download directly to your device—avoid screenshots. You may need to install the Google Drive app for easy access. Additionally, the portraits will be featured in a special album on the OCU Facebook page.

Individual Photo Sessions
If you’re interested in learning more about booking individual portrait sessions, please reach out to Hannah Wissel, Intern for the OCU Marketing and Communications Department at (618)302-0169. These private sessions are $85 for a one hour session.
