Dr. Danielle Goodwin is a mathematician and educator with well over two decades of experience. She has a Doctorate in Mathematics and Science Education from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics specializing in Operations Research from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She recently competed Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Professional Certification in Data Science and Analytics.
She has led hundreds of professional development workshops and conference presentations, conducted several large educational research projects, and has numerous publications in academic journals. One of her favorite things to do is supervise student projects. She has helped K-16 students do projects on algorithmically-generated music, the “perfect” shuffles problem, Pick’s Theorem, Mathemagics, and tracing the historical development of mathematics concepts. Dr. Goodwin is also an avid reader, singer, lover of Christmas movies, and a mother. She will be helping us to transform our mathematics and computer science courses with the coming artificial intelligence revolution in mind.
