OCU Online is a program designed for non-traditional students.  We attract a variety of students from a diverse background seeking to grow personally and professionally.  With new starts every 5 weeks, applicants are admitted every day. High school and/or college transcripts are reviewed to ensure potential students meet admissions requirements.

Admissions Requirements

Background Requirements
High School Record

A grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher

OR

A grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher with

An SAT score of 960/1290 or greater -or-
An ACT score of 18 or greater -or-
An Accuplacer score of 520 or greater with individual scores of 260 (Math) and 260 (Reading)

OR

A GED score of 480 or greater or a TASC passing score

College Record

Six (6) or more hours completed post high school at an accredited institution, and

A 2.0 or higher grade point average in college-level coursework.

 

Non-traditional Students

Many undergraduate programs are offered to adult learners. Some are fully online, others are offered at convenient Learning Centers off the main campus. Learn more about earning or completing your degree with OCU Online programs.

*Oakland City University is only permitted to register students for online classes that reside in a state that is a member of NC-SARA.  At this time, California is the only state NOT a member of NC-SARA.  Because of this, OCU cannot admit or register California residents for online classes or programs.  More information on NC-SARA can be found at https://nc-sara.org/
