Secondary Business Education (Licensure Program)
The Bachelor of Arts in Business with licensure for Secondary Education requires completion of the Foundational Core, 51 semester hours in the subject matter concentration. Courses include Business Economics in the Global Economy, Business Law and Ethics, International Business, and Web-page Design to name a few. The Secondary Education Licensure portion, includes 37 credit-hours of education focused courses. Some of these include: Teaching Methods, Classroom Management, Cultural Competency, Technology, and Developmental Psychology. This degree is a 120 credit hour degree designed to be completed in four years. The licensure track also includes the passing of state exams, student teaching, and recommendation by Oakland City University’s School of Education.
The Business: Secondary Education Program is recognized by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE).
