Oakland City University’s non-traditional programs reflect our commitment to developing leaders who can serve their communities in their chosen field of study. Our flexible programs are accredited and career focused. They give working professionals a well-rounded perspective to help them advance their career or explore a new one. You can choose from certificates, associates, bachelor’s and master’s degree to fit your goals.
Face-to-Face or Fully Online
We offer face to face courses at our Adult and Professional Studies Learning Centers as well as several fully online programs. Our Learning Centers are conveniently located across Indiana in Bedford, Evansville, Rockport and Jasper. We also offer courses at different locations in partnerships with businesses such as Toyota and organizations like the National Electrical Contractors Association. Courses at the Learning Centers meet on evenings once a week or bi-weekly, and give you a chance to interact with other students on projects outside of class.
Our programs run year-round on 5-week and 8-week formats, giving you a chance to complete your program of study or credential faster. As a transfer-friendly school, we also offer many opportunities for students to earn credits through work experience and/or specialized training in their career area.
In our classes you will engage with experienced faculty who combine your professional experiences with university course content and objectives. They make the most of class time in face to face courses and provide resources and support in online classes.
