Dr. Amy Barrett is a former middle school math and science teacher with interests covering a broad spectrum:  from horses to science fiction. She loves to read and occasionally writes reviews of science fiction movies and tv shows.

She currently teaches education and math courses including undergraduate statistics. Her interests/expertise include online learning, curriculum design and implementation, leadership, the impact of socioeconomics on education, and math instructional methods. Her dissertation was titled Can Liberal Arts Programs Produce Employable Graduates? The Implications of Liberal Education in Rural Indiana.
