CES-726 Supervision of Counselors

This course is designed to introduce the building level administrator to the principles, functions, and practices basic to school counseling at both the elementary and secondary levels. 

Special emphasis will be on the interpersonal relations and abilities to lead and integrate a school counseling program within the school community toward a shared vision of learning.  This course includes the characteristics of successful school counselors and the development and support of school counseling.  Emphasis will be placed on counseling intervention as spelled out by the American School Counselor Association.  (3 credit hours)
