BUS-456 Career and Technical Education

This course provides an overview of the historical and philosophical development of career and technical education in the United States.

The student is introduced to the basic approaches and methods for teaching career and technical education to secondary and post-secondary students. Techniques in supervising and developing cooperative education programs will be developed. Government legislation affecting career and technical education will be discussed. The course helps fulfill the requirements for the business education student to earn his or her license from the state of Indiana in an area of career and technical education.
