School of Education Awarded Project Lead the Way Launch Pre-Service Grant
The Oakland City University School of Education has been awarded the Project Lead the Way Launch Pre-Service Grant. This $4,500 grant from the Indiana Commission on Higher Education will provide for free training opportunities for two of our undergraduate elementary education prep faculty members, allowing all of our elementary education majors to be certified in Project Lead the Way upon graduation.
The elementary version of Project Lead the Way is called “LAUNCH”. The focus of the LAUNCH curriculum is around the topics of computer science, biomedical science, and engineering. We are continuing to ramp up the innovative, real-world connections for our teacher candidates.
