The Indiana Collegiate Action Network has a strong history of sponsoring grants targeted at OCU geared toward mental health issues.  Lisa Hutcheson, Vice President of Policy and Programs at Mental Health America of Indiana, commented: “The Indiana Collegiate Action Network, through a grant from the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction, supports colleges and universities across the state to address substance use and mental health among college students.  College students are at higher risk for substance use as well as days they feel mentally unwell. We are pleased to award a mini-grant to Oakland City University to support student mental health and wellness and suicide prevention.”

Bradley Knotts, Director of Student Life, not only applied for the grant but will administer the funds through the Office of Student Life.  Oakland City University looks forward to making an impact in the lives of students, staff, and the community through the generous support of ICAN. #gomightyoaks
