On Monday, August 17th, Oakland City University students volunteered in a Morning of Service for the town of Oakland City.  The students went to the local library, golf course, several churches, local schools, the nursing home, and town hall.

The university had almost 100 students participating in the morning of service. They spruced up landscaping as well as helped with other yard work. Students painted curbs and sanitized buildings.

Mayor James Deffendall stated, “The students did a wonderful job of cleaning up the community and I have received so much positive feedback on how nice everything looks. They all did a great job of following the CDC guidelines while participating in the cleanup. We were very appreciative of the work and would love to be able to do something similar to this again."
