Indiana’s Superintendent of Public Instruction, Dr. Jennifer McCormick, to speak at Oakland City University on November 7

The Oakland City University School of Education invites all Tri-State school leaders and teacher candidates to attend the Fall 2019 “Learn&Lead” Series #3 educational leadership event featuring Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction, Dr. Jennifer McCormick, on Thursday, November 7th from 9:00am to 11:00am in the Cornwell-Reed Auditorium.

Dr. Jennifer McCormick is Indiana’s 44th Superintendent of Public Instruction. A nationally-recognized educator and innovator, Dr. McCormick has served at every level of the K-12 education system.  As Indiana’s education system leader, Dr. McCormick is an energetic and tireless advocate for children, dedicated to improving educational outcomes. She serves as a devoted ambassador for ensuring all stakeholders are working together for student success in Indiana.

Dr. McCormick has served on a number of community boards and makes her home in Indianapolis with her husband, Trent, a public school administrator. They have one son, Cael, who attends West Point Military Academy.

The Oakland City University School of Education sponsored “Learn&Lead” events provide Tri-State educators and future educators with relevant, research-based learning opportunities to hear directly from experts in the field of education.  Dr. McCormick’s topic will be “Why Education Matters”.
