Deaconess Donates $50,000 Toward New Student Dorm
Dr. Allen White, Deaconess Vice President and CMO of Deaconess Clinic presented Dr. Ron Dempsey, President of Oakland City University, with a $50,000 check. These funds signify the support of Deaconess to the Living Our Mission…Expanding Our Horizons Capital Campaign.
Through the efforts of the Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana, Oakland City University’s proposal for mixed-use residential housing and commercial space was selected as an approved project for Gibson County, Indiana. This facility contains 92 beds of student housing and approximately 1,500 square feet for retail business.
Dr. Dempsey stated “Oakland City University is deeply grateful for the generosity of our friends at Deaconess. Building on our partnership through the Deaconess Clinic in Oakland City, we are together making Oakland City University a model for the Christian university in the 21st Century.”
