Oakland City University’s New Student Orientation starts on August 18th. During this event, we hope to help all of our incoming students to become accustomed to University life and build a supportive student community.
Wednesday, August 18th – OPENING DAY ~ FAMILY DAY

| 5:15 p.m. | OCU Connection Groups Kennedy Center (Assigned Classrooms ~ listed on your name badge) First-Year and New Transfer students meet with their Orientation Leaders for the first time. Attendance at these group meetings is very important. |

| 1:00 p.m. | “Navigating into Unchartered Waters” with Stephen Gray Johnson Center This program takes the elements of team building and combines it with the ENTHUSIASM and ENERGY of the participants to create a highly enjoyable experience that creates a community out of strangers. |
