Oakland City University Presents
“Summer Spree 2008”

The
Office of Admissions will be hosting Summer Spree 2008 for incoming
freshmen and transfer students. The session will begin on
June 25, 2008 and end Friday, June 27, 2008.
Summer Spree is a time for fun. There will be food, games, and a
trip to Holiday World/Splashin Safari located in Santa Claus, Indiana.
Oakland City University will provide the transportation for this.
You will get a chance to meet staff members and the other new students.
This gives you an opportunity to make new friends and possibly find
a roommate. You will have the option of staying in the residence
halls and find out what real “dorm life” is all about!
The
primary purpose of Summer Spree 2008 is to pre-register for the
Fall Semester and avoid the rush in August. Students are required
to pay a $75.00 confirmation fee in order to complete the registration
process. This fee will cover your testing and orientation. Meals
and snacks are provided on campus and you will only need to bring
money to cover the cost of any souvenirs and food you may wish to
purchase at Holiday World. If you are planning to stay in the dorms
you will also need to bring bed linens and pillow, personal items
(soap, deodorant ect.) towels, and alarm clock.
If you are unable to attend all of the Summer
Spree activities, you should plan to attend the placement testing
and pre-registration sections (see the enclosed schedule of times).
If you are unable to attend Summer Spree you will need to attend
these two events at Fall Registration (dates will be announced at
a later date).
Please do not hesitate to contact the Admissions
Office if you have any further questions. We look forward to meeting
you at Summer Spree 2008!
