Chapman School of Religious Studies offers the baccalaureate
degree with a major available in Religious Studies and a minor available
in Pastoral Ministry, Christian Education, or Christian Missions.
Minors are available in Religious Studies as well. The three minors
have a professional orientation since some of the recipients do not
go to seminary or graduate school.
The School of Religious Studies also provides courses
in religion and philosophy required of degree students in the General
Education component of liberal studies. Students pursuing the baccalaureate program
of the study in religion are prepared to enter seminaries and graduate
programs in religion. The professional character of the religious
studies program prepares many students to enter the vocation ministry,
the field of Christian education, the mission field, or denominational
service.
