 Policies Reporting an Absence
If you would like to report an absence, you can do so by calling 812-749-1421. Our office hours are 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. If you have an emergency, you may leave a message. Whenever possibe, please be prepared to provide the amount of time you will be absent and names of the professors in the classes from which you will be absent.
Dress Code
Appropriate dress attire, as determined by the University’s Board of Trustees and Administrative personnel, should be worn at all times.
Except on special occasions, informal wear is permissible. Individual faculty members may specify appropriate attire for their classes (e.g. the business teacher may require that no jeans be worn for an Office Practicum class, which prepares a student for office work in business). Attire should not be offensive to the General Baptist concept of morality. T-shirts and sweatshirts referring to drugs, alcohol, or sex are not considered appropriate attire and should not be worn on the OCU campus.
In addition, outside of the Residence Halls, no shirts that are ripped down the side or are baggy down the side may be worn without another shirt being worn underneath that shirt. Furthermore, no undergarments should be visible.
