Yellow Ribbon Program Agreement Approved for 2012-13 School YearApril 12, 2012 at 8:32 AM
Oakland City University has again been approved to offer the Yellow Ribbon Program. The Yellow Ribbon Program is a VA Education Benefit for our soldiers who have been in active duty for at least 36 consecutive months after 9/11. This program is partnered with the Post 9/11 Education Benefit. The soldier is allowed $17,500 of benefits for the school year. This includes tuition, book allowance and housing allowance. When the soldier has met the limit, the Yellow Ribbon Program goes into play. At that point the amount above the limit is paid by VA (50%) and OCU (50%).
