Oakland City Women Lose Battle with Campbellsville

OCU women's basketball lost a well fought battle with Campbellsville University Tuesday night in the Johnson Center. Campbellsville improved to 6-0 while Oakland City drops to 1-2 on the season.

After losing the first half by 32-42, the Lady Oaks were able to cut the lead to single digits many times in the second half but were unable to reduce the lead to any less than eight points. The Lady Oaks were led by Ali Pia with 15 points before fouling out in only thirteen minutes of play. Senior Kristi McVey chipped in with 14 points of her own. Brittany Hart scored 11 to go along with a game high 5 steals. The Lady Tigers were led by 6'3" junior Whitney Ballinger with 28 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocked shots.

The Lady Oaks are scheduled to play in the University of Indianapolis tournament November 27th and 28th against Indianapolis (4:30 pm) and Illinois-Springfield (6:30 pm).
