Mighty Oaks See Nine Game Winning Streak End in Ohio

Urbana, OH - The Mighty Oaks travelled to Urbana, Ohio, on Thursday, February 18, to make up their game that had been cancelled because of snow. Taking a nine game winning streak into the game, as well as having beaten Urbana earlier in the season at home, the Mighty Oaks looked to continue their winning ways but fell short, losing by only eight points, the final score being 68-76.

The Oaks were led in scoring by Nate Schumacher, who tallied a double-double with game highs of 20 points and 13 rebounds. Jared Maners added 16 points, Josh Wilmes had 11 points, and Brandon Hopf had a double-double of his own with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Blue Knights were led in scoring by Robert Wilson, who scored18 points, and in rebounding by Clint Nicholson who pulled down seven rebounds to go with his 11 points, all off the bench.

The Mighty Oaks will look to get back to their winning ways on Saturday, February 20, as they take on Robert Morris-Springfield in the Johnson Center at 3:00 pm.
