Carleigh Johnson, junior outside hitter, was named to the National Christian College Athletic Association Division I Women's Volleyball All-American 2nd Team.

Johnson led Oakland City University in kills, totalling 304 on the year, kills per set at 3.13, service aces with 46, aces per set at 0.47, digs with 408, and digs per set with 4.21. Johnson was also second on the team in serve receptions with 431 and reception percentage at 86.1%. Her 34 total blocks was also good for second on the team.

"Carleigh worked very hard during this past off season to make herself a better player," stated Patti Buchta, finishing up her second year as the head coach after taking over the team again after a few years off. "She got herself in better shape and all of her hard work paid off. Carleigh is just the third All-American I have coached in volleyball, and the first since I have been back."

"If it wasn't for my teammates, this would not have been possible," said Johnson, "my classmates Allison Eads and Alicia Hartley take a lot of pressure off of me and give me the opportunities to succeed."
