Chelsea Crane Signs With OCU Women's SoccerMay 30, 2012 at 10:34 AM
Dave Morris, Head Coach of the Lady Oaks soccer team, announced the addition of Chelsea Crane, starting goalkeeper for Benjamin Bosse High School in Evansville, Indiana, to the 2012-13 recruiting class.
Crane brings a wealth of experience to a young OCU roster, having won numerous awards on the high school pitch, including being named 2nd Team All-City twice, 2nd Team All-Conference, Honorable Mention 1st Team All-District, Sectional MVP twice, Overall MVP, and defensive MVP. Crane also received Academic All-City honors twice.
At the conclusion of her senior season, Crane stood atop six school records, besting the previous marks in most career shut-outs, most single season shut-outs, best career goals against average, best single season goals against average, best career save percentage, best single season save percentage, while taking over the second slot in career saves.
"Chelsea is a great athlete," states Coach Morris. "She is going to contribute to the Lady Oaks soccer program and will also be a great fit for our University community and Christian environment."
