Work Study

Oakland City University offers approximately 100 on-campus student jobs paying up to $2,400 per year. Work assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis and are based on financial need. For more information, contact the OCU Office of Financial Aid at (812) 749-1224.

All students interested in work study must complete a Federal Work Study Application.

Federal Work Study (FCWS): Federal Work Study provides part time jobs for undergraduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay educational expenses. The program encourages work related to the recipient’s course of study. FCWS can help you get valuable experience in your chosen field before you leave college.

Students who qualify for FCWS are paid wages through the university payroll system. If the student owes money for their tuition, fees, and/or room and board, the FCWS wages will be applied to those charges. If the student does not owe the university, the paycheck will be paid directly to the student.

If you have been awarded FCWS, you must download and complete the Federal Work Study Application then return it to the Financial Aid Office by the date indicated.
