Grants

Federal and state grants are subject to all Title IV federal financial aid regulations. Eligibility for grants is determined by the Federal Needs Analysis. To apply, complete the Free Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) form. For more information about FAFSA, see Tuition and Financial Aid.

FEDERAL GRANTS

Federal Pell Grant

  • Amount: Up to $5,500 per year. The amount is based on maximum awards allowed by state and/or federal regulations during the 2007-2008 academic year.
  • Description: The Pell Grant is a federally funded grant program designed to aid undergraduate students who show financial need.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)

  • Amount: Up to $3,000
  • Description: The SEOG is a federally funded grant program providing up to $3,000 to aid undergraduate students who show a financial need.
 

 

STATE GRANTS

These awards are granted through the State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana. For more information on how to apply or who qualifies please visit their website: http://www.in.gov/ssaci/

Frank O'Bannon Indiana Higher Education Award

Indiana residents may qualify for the Frank O’Bannon Higher Education Award. This award was from $200 to $3100 for the academic year of 2011-12. To qualify for this award a student and their parent(s) (if the student is a dependent student) must be Indiana residents and must file the FAFSA by March 10. This grant is limited to 8 semesters and the student must be making academic progress to continue receiving this grant.

Frank O’Bannon Twenty-first Century Scholarship Award 

This grant program is available to Indiana students who enrolled in the program during their sixth, seventh and eighth grade. The program guarantees free tuition to a public college in Indiana for students who successfully fulfill their Twenty –First Century Scholar Pledge.

Frank O'Bannon Freedom of Choice Grant

Indiana residents who qualify for the Frank O’Bannon Higher Education Award also will qualify for the Frank O’Bannon Freedom of Choice Grant. This award was from $200 to $2500 for academic year of 2011-12. The same qualifications apply to this grant as for the Frank O’Bannon Higher Education Award.
