Gary E. May Peace Scholarship
The Gary E. May Peace Scholarship is a merit-based, unrestricted award of $1000. Eligibity for this award extends to any student enrolled at University of Southern Indiana, University of Evansville, Oakland City University, or Ivy Tech Southwest. This eligibility also extends to high school seniors in Vanderburg, Warrick, Posey, and Gibson counties in Indiana. Indiana CPA Society
Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI) will award on behalf of the Indiana CPA Educational Foundation, Inc., three $1,000 scholarships to students who qualify, per the criteria listed below and are selected by an awards committee. Award payments—to be applied to tuition accounts—will be made by June 2014 to the winning students’ colleges and universities. Download an Application.
Indiana Wildlife Federation
One scholarship will be awarded in the amount of$1000, $500 per semester. Application deadline is June 15, 2016. The award recipient will be notified by June 30,2016. The recipient is invited to attend the Conservation Awards Banquet and Annual Meeting to be recogaized as the scholarship recipient. Dowload the Application.
Indiana Women’s Education Foundation
Working Woman Scholarship - One (1) $1000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a woman who is employed at least 20 hours per week and has applied to or is attending a post-secondary institution, carrying at least a part-time class schedule. This scholarship is only available to females 25 years of age or older and who have been an Indiana resident at least one year prior to the date of application.
Women In Transition Scholarship - One (1) $1000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a woman who is re-entering the workforce, changing careers or is a displaced worker and who has applied to a post-secondary institution for at least a part-time class schedule. This scholarship is only available to a female 30 years of age or older and who has been an Indiana resident at least one year prior to the date of application.
Dr. Bertha Beazley Memorial Endowed Scholarship - named in memory of a 50+ year BPW member. One (1) $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a woman entering her junior or senior year of a four-year undergraduate program in a medical field with direct patient care. This scholarship is only available to a female who has been an Indiana resident at least one year prior to the date of application with preference given to an Indiana resident attending an Indiana college or university.
Lynn Rhoades Scholarship Fund - One (1) $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a woman who is employed at least 20 hours per week and has applied to or is attending a post-secondary institution, majoring in accounting. This scholarship is only available to a female 25 years of age or older and who has been an Indiana resident for at least one year prior to the date of the application.
Teaching Indiana's Future (Honoring Beverly Radeline) - One (1) $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a female 21 years of age or older and who has been an Indiana resident for at least one year prior to the date of the application. This scholarship will be presented to a woman who is doing her student teaching this school year in a specific semester.
Girl Scout Scholarship - One (1) scholarship will be awarded to a woman who is between her senior year in high school and her senior year in college and who has applied to or is attending a post-secondary institution for a least part-time attendance. This scholarship is only available to a Girl Scout who has completed the INFBPW patch and who has been an Indiana resident for at least one year prior to the date of the application.
The scholarship awards, to be announced at the INFBPW state convention on April 16, 2016, will be paid directly to the educational institution selected by each recipient.
Scholarship recipients must agree to allow the Foundation to publicize information about their scholarship award, including their photo in the Hoosier Business Woman magazine and on the website. They must also agree to briefly address the INFBPW members at the state convention or fall conference, if requested.
Application forms for the scholarships are available on the website at http://www.inwomeneducation.org/index.php/scholarships, or from the IWEF office (address above). Completed applications must be submitted to the Indiana Women's Education Foundation office and postmarked no later than February 15, 2016. Incomplete applications will be declined. A transcript will be necessary for a complete application.
William A. Crawford Minority Teacher Scholarship
The William A. Crawford Minority Teacher Scholarship is for minority students intending to pursue, or currently pursuing, a course of study that would enable them to teach in an accredited school in Indiana for three years following graduation. More information available here.
Women & Hi-Tech Scholarships
Women & Hi-Tech is honored to provide two $5,000 scholarships in 2016. The scholarships (one undergraduate and one graduate) will be awarded to women living in Indiana with plans to remain here after graduation to put their education to work in Indiana. The Women & Hi Tech Scholarships are open to women pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in science, technology, engineering or math.
The two scholarship recipients will be honored at the Women & Hi Tech Leading Light Awards on October 6, 2016 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. Nominations are being accepted now thru July 29, 2016. More information available here.
