Dr. Kristie Stewart
Dr. Stewart embraces the motto of Oakland City University to “go forth and serve”. She has a priority of leaving this planet a little better then she found it. She has a sense of dedication and concern for the world around her and she has an ability to step outside herself and see the greater importance of community and society. She does this not only though education but through service.
Dr. Stewart is responsible for the AEL and MBA programs and also teaches research topics to MBA students. Her passion for research led to four joint research projects between OCU and the Indiana Department of Correction. None she is most proud then the mosquito net project at the Indiana Women’s Prison. Women in the prison make mosquito nets that are being delivered all over the world. They currently have delivered nets to 6 countries in Africa and South America. She also leads at least one mission trip per year for a variety to causes to various parts of the world. Most recent is working with a mission school in Ecuador.
Dr. Stewart received her Doctorate degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Organizational Leadership. Her research area was investigating the relationship between management skills and senior minister attrition.
