Dr. Norm Reynolds
Norm is a native of Boonville, Indiana who earned a Business Education degree at Murray State University and his MSM and Ed.D. degrees at Oakland City University. While in high school and college, Norm worked as a meat cutter and motorcycle mechanic. After college at Murray State, he served in the US Army at Fort Campbell and Fort Knox in Kentucky and Fort Richardson in Alaska. While at Fort Richardson, Norm served as the Senior Personnel Specialist for the Strategic Communications Command.
After the military service, Norm worked in private industry as a production supervisor and Industrial Engineer. Following eight years in manufacturing, Norm began working for the US Postal Service as an Industrial Engineer. During his career with that agency, he also served as Engineering Manager and Postmaster of Evansville, Indiana. Prior to retirement in 2005, he served as Senior Operations Manager for the Kentuckiana District. In this capacity, he managed the operation of over 650 post offices throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana. This operation included oversight of over 6500 employees and the responsibility for a total budget of over 500 million dollars.
At OCU Norm has served as Dean, School of Adult and Extended Learning and Dean, School of Business. He currently is an Assistant Professor in the School of Business. He teaches a variety of management courses including Senior Seminar, Operations Management, Human Resources Law, Organizational Behavior, and Compensation and Benefits.
Norm lives in Oakland City with his wife, Dr. Carlotta Reynolds. They have two children and two grandchildren. He enjoys home remodeling, antique furniture, landscaping, NASCAR, and antique tractors.
