The School of Education offers baccalaureate
programs in elementary, early childhood, and middle childhood education,
professional education for secondary education majors in business, English,
mathematics, physical education, science, and visual arts. Professional
education courses are also taught for the all-grade education programs
in general music, visual arts and physical education.
The University has historically been a strong teacher
education institution in the state and has provided many of the teachers
for schools in the surrounding area. The instructional staff has had
many years of experience in the elementary, junior high/middle school,
and the secondary schools.
The School of Education programs are NCATE accredited.
