Dr. Scavone, Vlad the Impaler
On October 29, 2007, the OCU History Club presented Daniel Scavone Ph.D. professor emeritus of History from the University of Southern Indiana in a program entitled “Vlad the Impaler: Dracula Revealed”.
Dr. Scavone lectured on the origins of Dracula in the Barnard Recital Hall. Dr. Scavone arrived in the midst of eerie music, wafting fog and wearing a black cape. It was a frightfully enjoyable presentation and perfectly timed for the Halloween season. A capacity crowd was on hand and enjoyed the program and the reception following. A huge thank you to the History Club for planning this wonderful event.
