Organization Day
By: Joe Jackson
The weather was hot during both of Oakland City University’s Organization Days, but that did not deter students from attending. As a matter of fact, the turnout was quite substantial in OCU’s flag-flanked courtyard where the event took place. Several booths, some of which sporting canopies, fans, or coolers filled with drinks to beat the heat, were occupied by members of different organizations or groups who attempted to lure students into supporting their cause. Some of the groups represented included Drama Club, SALT club, and FOCUS.
The organizations weren’t the only attraction, however. In the center of the chaos were a large inflatable obstacle course and a bouncy fighting arena (the absence of which the day after probably explains why attendance waned that day).
