Drama Club Cleans Up Theater
Members of the OCU drama club grabbed paint brushes and several cans of paint and headed for the theater; not to perform on stage but to clean up the stage and the backstage. They gave a fresh coat of paint to the two dressing rooms backstage, and they painted the sets for the fall play with the assistance of members from the SALT club. They have started to organize their prop shed that makes it easier to access to find props and costumes that are needed for the plays.
Drama club plans on keeping the theater cleaned up and organized over the years to come. Some of their next upcoming projects and activities through out the spring semester include the following: a dinner theater mystery night, cleaning up a park, followed by a picnic in the park performing several skits.
In the past months drama club has held a used book sale along with helping out with the fall play. In the past year they have performed variety shows and a murder mystery night.
Drama club meets downstairs in the SLC, room 116 at 11:30 a.m. on Fridays.
