Strategic Communications Intern- Independent Colleges of Indiana | IN

Description:The overall goal of the Special Gathering Internship Program is to prepare the candidate to lead/establish a ministry for persons with disabilities. Duty assignments strive to provide the intern with the knowledge and skills needed to reach that goal.   Interns receive graduated exposure to their assigned areas,   practicing with greater independence as their skills increase.  Progress will be evaluated on a regular basis by the intern’s mentor/supervisor and the Internship Committee.

Qualifications: College or University student with preferably 3 years undergraduate studies.  Preference will be given to individuals who possess superior communication skills, both written and verbal and persons who have been involved in: Ministering (Sunday School Teacher, leading youth activities, etc.) Support and Fundraising (help develop support for a ministry or social service program, etc.) Understanding of the abilities, needs and special requirements of persons with disabilities (been involved in programming or activities for persons with disabilities, etc.)
