Career Services

The mission of Career Services, a division of the Campus Life Office, is to prepare students to successfully enter the workplace after their college years.  This process begins with students making choices about their areas of study and career options and ends when students graduate and are placed in careers that make the most of the skills they developed at OCU.

Services offered by the department range from fine-tuning soft skills to offering real-world experience through university-coordinated internships.  The Career Services staff will assist students with resume writing, interview skills, and job search strategies.  In addition, the Mentoring & Tutoring program allows students to receive assistance from their peers in various areas of study.  Senior-year students can register with the Career Services Office and create a credential file that can be sent to employers and institutions of the student’s choice.

Career Services is located in the Bower-Surheinrich Student Life Center in SLC 117, near the Fitness Center.  Regular office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
