Militoni Makes Two
Mt Carmel (IL) standout Laura Militoni has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Oakland City University as a part of the Lady Oaks Soccer Team.
Militoni, who started for two years as a center midfielder on the Mt Carmel boys team is expected to contribute immediately either in that position or as a forward. She performs as the latter for the Lady Blitz club of Evansville.
"Laura has good athleticism and speed" Stated Coach Botterill, "She needed to develop that along with her strength and power to compete on a boy's high school team. Especially in such a pivotal position as center mid."
Militoni will enter Oakland City University declaring a major in Elemantary Education. "Laura will add size and strength to the attacking part of our line-up. I expect her to contribute immediately both in terms of minutes on the field but also in goals and assists." Continued Botterill.
Coach Botterill is expected to announce another two signees by the end of the week, with 4 or 5 to follow those.
