Amanda continued to improve during the 2003 season pushing for more playing time as a forward and stepping up
with a couple of important assists towards the end of the season.
Personal
From Browns, IL, Amanda Allen is the daughter of David and Vickie Allen and has one sister,
Andrea. Amanda graduated with honors from Edwards County High School in 2000, and then a
ttended Olney Central College on a Music/Cheerleading Scholarship where she graduated with
an Associate's degree in Arts and Science in 2002. While at Olney, Amanda was on the cheer
and dance teams. She traveled to across America including New York and New Orleans to perform
and compete (singing, acting, and dance) with the Show Choir, winning First Superior at the
National Choral Festival in 2001 and First Excellence in 2002. She played 3 years of soccer
during high school, and was named NCA All-American in 1999 and 2000 as a cheerleader.
Amanda combines playing on the soccer team with keeping a 3.65 GPA, being a member
of the cheerleading team and being a student ambassador. Amanda hopes to be
a teaching, phamaceutical rep. with a multimillion dollar recording contract.
