Patti Buchta will begin her fifteenth season (197-274) as the Head Softball Coach at Oakland City University. She has guided her teams to post season play in eleven of the previous twelve seasons, including five trips to the National Christian College Atheltic Association (NCCAA) National Championships. In 1997 the 'Oaks' finished as National Runner-up and have also placed 5th in 1998, 7th in 2000, 7th in 2003 and 6th in 2006.

Patti is a graduate of Pike Central High School (IN, 1978), graduated from Oakland City University (IN, 1982) with a BS in Physical Education and History and holds a Master's of Arts in Education from the University of Evansville (IN, 1987)

In addition to her duties as Head Softball Coach, She is currently the Senior Women's Athletic Administrator, Director of Transportation, and also teaches Physical Education and History classes at Oakland City University.

Ms. Buchta also served as the Head Volleyball Coach for twelve years, 1989-2002 and Women's Assistant Basketball Coach for twelve years 1990-2002 at OCU.

Patti is an Otwell native and lives on a 200 acre farm where she grew up
