Patti Buchta will begin her eighteenth season (225-239) as the Head Softball Coach at Oakland City University. She has guided her teams to post season play eleven times, including five trips to the National Christian College Atheltic Association (NCCAA) National Championships. In 1997 the 'Oaks' finished as National Runner-up and have also placed 5th in 1998, 7th in 2000, 7th in 2003 and 6th in 2006.

Patti is a graduate of Pike Central High School (IN, 1978), graduated from Oakland City University (IN, 1982) with a BS in Physical Education and History and holds a Master's of Arts in Education from the University of Evansville (IN, 1987)

In addition to her duties as Head Softball Coach, She is currently the Head Volleyball Coach, Assistant Men's Basketball Coach, Senior Women's Athletic Administrator, Director of Transportation, and also teaches Physical Education classes at Oakland City University.

Ms. Buchta served as the Head Volleyball Coach for twelve years, 1989-2002 and Women's Assistant Basketball Coach for twelve years 1990-2002 at OCU.

Patti is an Otwell native and lives on a 200 acre farm where she grew up.
