NCCAA Men's Basketball Tournament returns to Oakland City University

Mighty Oaks Host for the First Time Since 2000

Gibson County, Indiana, will host the 2006 Men’s Division I National Basketball Championships March 16-18 (2006), with Oakland City University serving as the host site for the annual event.

Eight Christian colleges and universities will converge on Gibson County for the NCCAA “Final Eight” for three days of college basketball “at its best” on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week.

The eight teams are: Chowan College (Murfreesboro, North Caroline), Spring Arbor University (Spring Arbor, Michigan), Roberts Wesleyan College (Rochester, New York), Walla Walla College (College Place, Washington), Oakland City University (Oakland City, Indiana), Asbury College (Wilmore, Kentucky), Bethany Lutheran (Mankato, Minnesota), and Central Baptist College (Conway, Arkansas).

Teams and their fans from throughout the United States will travel to Gibson County, several arriving on Tuesday, as they prepare for:
