Oaks Add Two More
With the announcement today of the signings of Jason Morgan (Brampton, Canada) and Robert Sherard (Manchester, England) the Mighty Oaks list of commitments has risen to eight for the fall.
Morgan (above), is the second player to sign from the renowned Bryst Academy after Brandon Stranz put pen to paper last month. He is a center midfielder cum forward, with an abundance of ability on the ball and an eye for goal. "Jason is a gifted technical player, equally at home in the centre of the park or playing off the front man. He will add some guile to our atttacking play and is expected to contribute immediately" Commented Coach Botterill.
Sherard, is another center mid or center forward, and adds to the British contingent at OCU. With his club team he won the Lancashire league twice and was voted young player of the year, his center of excellence team also competed against the youth team of Manchester City where he faced a number of current premiership professionals. "Robert will fit nicely into this team. He is strong on the ball, has good vision and an eye for goal." stated Botterill, "Robert will provide us with options both in midfield and up front and should make the transition to college soccer effortlessly."
