Athletics at a Glance....

The Oakland City University Mighty Oaks have a long and proud tradition of athletics. The first intercollegiate basketball game was held during the 1916-17 school year. Over 80 years later that athletic tradition has grown and the school now offers 13 varsity sports. Oakland City University is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II. OCU also is a member of the National Chrisitian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division I.

Oakland City University teams have had great success, including the NCCAA Men's Basketball National Championship in 1981 and 1999. Besides Men's Basketball, other teams such as Baseball, Softball, Women's Basketball and Volleyball have also won NCCAA Regional Championships.
