Personal: Graduated from Portland Christian High School in 2005. Ben was selected to be on the 6th Region All-Star Team in his Junior season. As a Senior, he led Portland Christian to it's 9th consecutive District Title.

Besides being a standout on the diamond, Ben earned Academic All-State all four yearas of High School.

Aside from baseball, Ben ran cross-country two years and played basketball all four years of High School
