Saturday May 13

Game 4 - 10:00 am OCU-16 . (2-1) vs MCU 3 . (2-1)

These MCU Fans are ready for this game, and what they saw was a good pitching game from Junior Nic Keener ( above right) who settled down after a rocky first inning to put the Oaks in the Championship Game. Nic was supported by a homer barrage with shots from Pablo Bukonja and Josh Gensic in the bottom of the first to take the lead for good.

Above is Senior 2nd baseman Pablo Bukonja and 3rd baseman Josh Gensic.

Also with homers in the game were 1st baseman Ben Noffisinger (above left) who drew the starting nods today, and shortshop Nic Skinner. Timely hits by the Mighty Oaks all contributed to a 16-3 win forcing the deciding game on a cool rainy Saturday afternoon.

Game 5 – 12:30 Mid-Continent University 8 --- Oakland City University 0

HEY MOM, WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!

Senior Jonathan Noyes continued his mastery of rythym and the strike zone in the Championship Game, and with timely hitting from the rest of the Cougars, spun another 7-inning shutout to send his team to Clearwater for the NCCAA Finals starting Wednesday May 17th.

For the tournament the senior righthander threw 14 consecutive scoreless innings for what is surely one of the most dominant pitching performances in regional play.

Congratulations to both teams for being in this position, and we especially wish the Cougars much success in Florida.
