Indiana Wesleyan Champions!!!

Eric Sanders posted a tourney high 35 points in Oakland City's win over Asbury

Indiana Wesleyan kicked it into high gear to pull away from Spring Arbor in the Championship 74-61. Tourney MVP Zach Coverstone scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Spencer Harris scored 20 points for the winners. Spring Arbor were led by Dirail Flenorl and Jared List put in 16 for Spring Arbor


Dallas Baptist defeated Chowan by a score of 68-65 in Game 3. Eddie Gloviak knocked down 19 points to lead the way for the Patriots. Layth Mansour scored 15 points and Lando Morrison grabbed 13 caroms in a losing cause.

Game 2 saw Trinity Christian, behind a 23 point performance from Will Bruinsma. defeat Geneva by a score of 74-69. Greg McDivitt popped for 19 markers for Geneva.

In game one, Eric Sanders of Oakland City lit up Asbury for 35 points in a 90-85 win. Jonathan Perry and Craig Parks added 15 and 12 respectively off the bench. Asbury was led by Ben Spann with 19 counters.

Final Day Starts With Fellowship Breakfast

Each team in the NCCAA National Tournament met Thursday morning at Princeton Communtiy High School for the annual Fellowship Breakfast. This provides an opportunity for "opponents" to break the ice and get to know each other off the court. A wonderful breakfast was provide by Princeton Community High School.

 

 

Championship Set!

Indiana Wesleyan came out on top 100-94 in double overtime to topple Dallas Baptist

Chowan's Roderick Ramsey felt the heat in their loss to Spring Arbor.

Spring Arbor joins Indiana Wesleyan in the Championship game after their 66-64 victory over Chowan. Spring Arbor's Josh Brandt went 5-8 from behind the arc on his way to a team leading 17 points. Teammate Darby Decker II nabbed 11 rebounds in the win. Charles Rhodes led Chowan with 16 counters.

Indiana Wesleyan advanced to the Championship game a with thrilling 100 - 94 double overtime win over Dallas Baptist. A 33 point, 10 rebound performance by Zach Coverstone and 24 markers from Antonio Murrell helped make the difference. Nick Michels and Braxton Adamson paced Dallas Baptist with 26 and 22 counters respectively.

Game 2 saw the host Oakland City fall prey to the Trolls of Trinity Christian by a score of 79-74. The Trolls were paced by Ross Stuursma and Will Bruinsma with 22 and 21 points respectively. The Mighty Oaks were led by Keegan Carmony with 21 markers.

Geneva College had a strong second half surge to pull past Asbury College 87-83. Bryan Hill and Greg McDivitt put in 21 and 18 counters and Mike Ross collected eight rebounds in the win. Derek Bland led Asbury with 21 points.

Top Seeds Win Every Game on Day 1

Chowan's Charles Rhodes let's one fly in their victory over Trinity Christian. The final score was 72-66

Spring Arbor's Dirail Flenorl lays in an easy on against Oakland City. Spring Arbor won 68-56

 

Game one saw Indiana Wesleyan handle Geneva 78-68 behind a a balanced attack which featured Zach Coverstone and Antonio Murrell knock down 16 points each. Coverstone also grabbed 15 boards in the win.

Dallas Baptist had their way with Asbury, knocking them off 86-70 behind Nick Michaels' 19 points, while Manny Montano added 18 counters. Asbury's Derek Bland put away 21 markers in the losing cause.

Chowan snuck by Trinity Christian in the day's closest contest by a score of 72-66. Chowan were led by Chris Kenon and Aaron Scott with 16 points each. Will Bruinsma poured in 24 counters in the loss, hitting on 10-20 from the field.

Spring Arbor kept the host Oakland City Mighty Oaks at bay, winning 68-56. Rob Boss was the big man on the night for Spring Arbor with 17 points. Oakland City was led by Eric Sanders with 21 markers.

Dr. Ray Barber, President of Oakland City University, delivered the keynot message at this year's banquet.
