Alumni Relations

On June 1, 2007, Susan Sullivan became the Director for Alumni Affairs for Oakland City University. Ms. Sullivan has been with the University for nineteen years, most recently as Director of Bachelor Programs for the School of Adult and Extended Learning. She is a graduate OCU with degrees in Management and Human Resources.

Ms. Sullivan resides in rural Pike County where she enjoys working outdoors and raising basset hounds. She attends Mt. Tabor General Baptist Church.
Her office is located in the historic Cockrum Hall on the campus of Oakland City University.

Oakland City University has nearly 8,000 living alumni, who may be found in locations all over the world. While many are in education and the ministry, thousands more are in business, science, and the arts. As they walk through the campus archway and take their places in the world, Oakland City University graduates take seriously the motto: "Go Forth To Serve."

The Alumni Association is the means by which all Oakland City University alumni are brought together in common purpose. The organization has as its purpose to perpetuate the memory of school associations, to promote the growth and advancement of Oakland City University, to support the objectives of Oakland City University, and to recognize the accomplishments of Oakland City University alumni.

A Board of Directors meets three times each year to do the work of the Alumni Association. The Alumni Banquet is an annual event planned for all alumni which takes place each year on the Friday evening before Commencement. Each October, alumni are contacted during the annual Phonothon to have the opportunity to support an important project of the University.
