Master of Business Administration
There has never been a better time to earn a master degree like Oakland City University’s MBA. In today’s highly competitive workplace, individuals need an education that goes beyond fundamentals. Oakland City University’s 36-credit hour Master of Business Administration degree takes a hands-on approach to developing success, building knowledge, and expanding skills. Students develop and strengthen skills and knowledge in leadership, management, decision-making, team dynamics, financial management, and communication. This program provides the adult professional with a comprehensive overview and application of essential business concepts.
OCU’s challenging MBA program is for individuals who possess relevant experience and seek in-depth knowledge in management and strategy. Also, the program provides flexibility for the busy working adult learner. By requiring students to have educational and professional competencies, it utilizes adult learning methods that accelerate the educational process and shortens the program completion time. This approach allows learners to incorporate a rigorous MBA program into an already busy schedule.
Study components in the degree are designed to incorporate up-to-date case studies and include participants’ real-life employment interests and issues. These relevant learning tools invigorate the mind and provide for a stimulating learning atmosphere. Even those who have not attended school in years can enjoy learning in this program format.
The OCU approach makes a difference that matters. The degree format allows the working adult to attend classes one at a time, one night a week. The degree is designed to prepare participants in the principles, techniques, and skills essential to both the theories and practices in business. The program also develops students’ communication and analytical skills that are essential to careers in today’s business environment.
Classes start soon, with new groups forming at the beginning of each semester. Subjects include managerial finance, marketing, corporate finance, international business, corporate governance, organizational communication, and leadership.
