Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
In today’s highly competitive workplace, individuals need an education that masters fundamentals and develops useful skills. The BSBA degree is designed to prepare students in the principles and techniques essential to the theory and practice of business. The program also develops communication and analytical skills essential to careers in today’s business environment.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration combines the 45-credit hour business core with a 24-credit hour Management Concentration and an optional Human Resources Concentration. Each course meets once or twice a week for six weeks. Course evaluations are based on participation, presentations, and written papers. To enter the Junior-level courses, students should have 64 credits completed, including accounting, algebra, composition, and economics. Students may enroll in available Associate level classes if necessary to meet basic requirements.
The business core classes, general education, and elective requirements may be covered by transfer credits, documented work and training credits, testing, online classes or in-class courses available at SAEL sites. Elective credits allows for additional transfer credits and use of experiential learning credits. All requirements are subject to revision. Management Concentration
The BSBA degree requires concentration studies in Management. This concentration equips students with the skills necessary to lead people and build healthy organizations. In addition to providing a business and technology foundation in the degree core, this concentration provides students with additional management courses. Wide-ranging subject areas include human resource management, organizational behavior, marketing, and strategic management. There are eight courses required in this concentration (24 credits).

Human Resources Concentration:
The BSBA degree includes an option to take an additional concentration in Human Resource Management. This concentration is good for those who want courses that focus on people management and for those aspiring to succeed in the HR profession. The HR career field is expanding rapidly and includes such diverse careers as Human Resources Director, Compensation Manager, Professional Recruiter, etc. There are eight courses required in the concentration (24 credits). However, many of the Human Resources courses are included in the Management Concentration. Therefore, only four additional courses are required for the HR Concentration.

Transfer Credit:
A student enrolled in the program may transfer college credit from a regionally accredited institution or through national examinations (CLEP, DANTES). All transfer work must be approved by the Provost.
