Summer Spree

Summer Spree is a time for fun and a chance to spend some time on the campus of Oakland City University. There is food, games, and a trip to Holiday World/Splashin' Safari (located in Santa Claus, Indiana.) Oakland City University will provide the admissions tickets and the transportation to and from Holiday World. During Summer Spree, you will have the opportunity to network with faculty, staff, and other new students. It is our hope that Summer Spree will give you an opportunity to make new friends and possibly find a potential roommate. You will have the option of staying in the residence halls and discovering the true meaning of "dorm life!"

The primary purpose of Summer Spree is to pre-register for the fall semester and avoid the rush in August. Students are required to pay a $75.00 confirmation fee in order to complete the registration process, and this fee will cover your placement testing and orientation. Meals and snacks are provided on campus. You will only need to bring money to cover the cost of any souvenirs and food you may wish to purchase at Holiday World. If you are planning to stay in the dorms, then you will also need to bring several items including: bed linens and pillow, personal items (soap, deodorant, etc.) towels, and alarm clock.

Students who cannot attend all of the Summer Spree activities should plan to at least attend the Testing and Registration. If you are unable to attend Summer Spree, then you will need to attend these two events at Fall Registration.
